【注意】 一部のオークションサイトや民族楽器通販店でイーリアンパイプスを販売しています。これらの商品はイーリアンパイプスに見えたとしても外見だけで決してパイプスとしては満足に機能しません。ケルト系の楽器は昔からパキスタンで量産されて来ました。他の楽器については楽器としてある程度の品質も満たした物もあるようですがイーリアンパイプスについては残念ながら全く当て嵌まりません。イーリアンパイプスについて初めて興味も持って入手を検討されている方は以下の点を最低限充分ご理解下さい。
①製作家名の解からない楽器は購入しない事
イーリアンパイプスを製作している「会社」はありません。全て製作家（もしくはその弟子と一緒に）が作っています。製作家名の無いものはほぼ上述した国で作られた粗悪品です。
②イーリアンパイプスにマウスブローは存在しない
プラクティスチャンターと称してイーリアンパイプスのチャンターを口で直接吹くものが多く出回っています。残念ながらイーリアンパイプスの練習にも全くならないばかりかマイナスにしかなりません。
③プラスチックのチャンターリードは存在しない。
他のバグパイプ類と違いイーリアンパイプスはオーバーブローによって２オクターブを出す過酷な楽器で、未だに満足のいくプラスチックや合成素材のチャンターリードは発明されていません。従ってプラスチックのチャンターリードを付けて売っている様な楽器は信頼に値しません。
